Time for more fun in the Village! Set the date for Friday, July 30th. Just like last year, there will be local block parties throughout the village! How does it work? It's simple; get with a few neighbors and decide where you want to have it.

For example:

The region (800-900 blocks of Jones & Clarke, etc.)
The location (someone's backyard, alley, etc.)
The theme (potluck, hotdogs, etc.)

All it takes is a little initiative. Write-up some invites and let everyone on your block know. Then post on the facebook group page where yours is happening in case there are some whose block is not participating.

Boy Scout Troop 700 will be having a spaghetti dinner and silent auction on Saturday, July 31st at the Old Hickory Nazarene Church, 605 Jones Street from 3pm to 7pm with dinner from 5 pm to 7 pm. Cost of the spaghetti dinner is $6/person and kids 8 and under $4. The proceeds from the event will support scouts in there outings and purchasing needed equipment. Every Friday at 10:30am at the Village playground there will "Play Dates" for the kids and parents.
